Size Matters – Finding the Best Brush Sizes with ERGO

ERGO has the answers, and here we will break down all of the sizes of their classic round brushes to learn which is best for which hair type and situation.

SHORT HAIR
For short hair styles the best choices would be either the 1” or the 1.25” brushes. These smaller barrels offer more control and a bit more tension. If more volume is the goal, reach for the 1.25” brush.

CHIN/MEDIUM LENGTH HAIR
For slightly longer hair the best picks would be the 1.75” or the 2” brushes. Using the 1.75” brush on chin length hair will create a bit more volume and a little more bend. This brush size can also allow you to get more revolutions around the barrel to help create more volume and get more movement. For a straighter and sleeker style, choose the 2” brush instead.

LONG HAIR
If your long hair client seeks a bit more volume, go with the 2” brush. The 2.5” brush will allow you to create a faster blowout with smoother and straighter results.
